Our Approach
Global Business Culture's training programmes are characterised by their pragmatic, hands-on approach. Seminars and workshops are designed to be of immediate benefit to delegates through the minimum use of theory and the maximum use of practical insight and experience.

The Training Modules
All GBC training modules are interactive, where delegate involvement is seen as crucial. Delegates are encouraged to explore the impact of cultural differences on both their day-to-day and strategic business lives.
GBC works in close co-operation with its clients so that every training programme meets the corporate goals of that client. Therefore, our modular training programmes (see below) offer a starting point from which more specific, tailor-made courses can be developed. We know that as each client is different, so each corporate training programme needs to be different.

Generic Cultural Awareness Seminars
These seminars explore the impact of cultural differences on international business. Practically based exercises give delegates an insight into the influence of culture on both day-to-day and strategic issues.
A wide variety of topics are covered and examples given from a variety of different cultures. As a key element in raising levels of cultural awareness, delegates are encouraged to assess their own cultural approach and its role in shaping one's views of the rest of the world.

Country Specific Seminars
These more specific seminars develop a greater, in-depth knowledge of attitudes and approach to business in a particular, target country. Each country develops its own, unique set of characteristics and a knowledge of these issues can help to reduce the potential for cultural misunderstandings.
By focussing on the approach of a key client or group of colleagues, delegates can develop strategies for improving relationships and ensuring smooth communication.

International Business Skills
These workshops enable delegates to develop the ability to adapt core business skills to an international setting. Each culture has its own approach to making presentations or negotiating and anybody wishing to be effective on the international stage should be aware of these differences.
Negotiation and presentation strategies can be essential and a knowledge of the cultural aspects of these areas can help give an added advantage in a competitive global market place.

Building International Teams
These seminars explore the effect of cultural differences on team dynamics, enabling organisations to realise the maximum potential from teams drawn from differing cultural backgrounds. Emphasis is placed on developing cultural awareness and a flexible approach within the team.
Delegates are asked to question their own assumptions concerning management style, approach to meetings, the decision-making process and other core issues - so that they are able to take advantage of the enormous creative potential to be found in a culturally diverse group.
